## What is Social Value Engine?

Social Value Engine is a UK-based digital SaaS platform that helps public sector bodies, charities, NHS trusts, housing associations, and private sector organisations measure their social return on investment (SROI). The platform is accredited by Social Value International (SVI) — the global standards body for social value measurement — and is one of the few tools in the UK that produces analyses that meet SVI's Principles of Social Value.

Founded alongside East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Social Value Engine has been in active use for over a decade and has supported more than 500 organisations across the UK to produce credible, auditable social value evidence.

The Social Value Engine gave them a credible, consistent framework to measure and communicate outcomes to local authority and trust funders.

Under Scottish legislation, community bodies can apply to purchase or lease public sector assets at significantly below market value, in some cases for a nominal payment of £1.
