What drives us

What we believe

These aren't just values on a wall. They're the principles that shaped every design decision in the platform.

Rigour over simplicity

Social value measurement done badly is worse than not doing it at all. We built SVE to be genuinely rigorous, using peer-reviewed proxies, established SROI methodology, and full calculation transparency, because the sector deserves better than rough estimates.

Human-led AI

AI should amplify social value practitioners, not replace their judgement. Every AI feature we build is designed to support human decision-making, not automate it. You remain the expert. We help you work faster and more confidently.

Built with, not for

SVE was co-created with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and shaped by years of feedback from commissioners, practitioners, and the communities whose value we're trying to measure. That collaborative approach remains central to how we develop the platform.
